This fall, we launch a new vision team. Our current mission statement is “To Know Christ and Make Him Known.” But we are going back to the prayer closet and the visioning table, so please join as we ask ourselves the three questions of vision
What Is Our Purpose?
Who Are We Called To Reach?
How Will We Reach Them?
For now, here's what we can tell you:
We believe in Scripture as the dynamic Word of God, which transforms lives and lights our path. As we know how easy it is for us wander off course, Scripture is our authority for all we do and who we are as we do it.
We believe that Christ is really God, that He died for our sins on the cross and defeated death through His resurrection. At Pentecost He gave birth to His church, and continues to breathe His Spirit into each and every heart that receives Him as Lord. We believe that Christ’s coming changes history, changes our individual stories, and reconnects flawed people like us to a holy God.
We believe that His Spirit in us is a second birth, and that He calls us to lives in which we are connected to God, connected to each other, and sent into the world to live in ways that others will know they too are invited to connect to Christ.
We believe that Christ is among us whenever we worship, share scripture, break bread at the table and through the Lord’s Supper, and especially in the faces of those we serve. We believe that Christ’s presence is reality, not a past event, and the more time we spend in His presence, the more we become like Him.
We believe that the word church is a people more than a building, and while not perfect, we are on the journey of becoming that radiant people God calls us to be.
We believe that following Christ was never intended to be a solitary journey, and we grow best when we join our journey to other journeys through small groups, through corporate worship, through serving as part of a team.
And…we believe in welcoming, walking alongside, and serving whomever may enter these doors.
So that’s where we are, preparing for the next chapter. Check back in from time to time and we’ll keep you posted.
In the meantime, you are welcome to join us any Thursday evening @ 5:30 PM or Sunday morning @ 8:15 AM, 9:30 AM, or 10:45 AM. We invite you to join us and to be part of the conversation about what church is meant to be. Check out our Worship Page to see what service you might like the best.
